Our History

A Journey of Faith, Hope, and God’s Faithfulness

Jeevan Jal church, under the denomination of Assemblies of God (Gereja Sidang Jemaat Allah), Jakarta, was a vision from God that became a reality on the 5th of September, 2004. The inauguration ceremony held at the church premises, was attended by Pst. Yulianus Manuhutu & Pst. Musa Rumambi, representatives from the provincial department of religion, Jakarta. On that auspicious evening, Pst. Yulianus Manuhutu inaugurated Jeevan Jal.

This long awaited inauguration was nothing short of a miraculous breakthrough, the answer to the prayers of the pastors, leaders & the entire congregation who have been praying for the past 22 years.

From our earliest gatherings to the ministries we serve today, every step of our journey has been marked by God’s grace, provision, and faithfulness. As our congregation grew, so did our commitment to creating opportunities for spiritual growth through worship services, prayer meetings, Bible studies, youth ministries, children’s programs, and community fellowship.

Leadership Through the Years

The story of Jeevan Jal Church is also the story of faithful servants who answered God’s call to lead His people. Through their dedication, vision, and commitment to God’s Word, the church has continued to grow spiritually and impact the community around us.

Today, Jeevan Jal Church is led by Pastor Shilu Dodani, who serves with a passion for teaching God’s Word, shepherding the congregation, and helping people develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Under his leadership, the church continues its mission of bringing hope, healing, and spiritual transformation to individuals and families.

Looking Toward the Future

As we reflect on God’s faithfulness throughout our history, we look forward with expectation and faith. Our mission remains unchanged: to glorify God, make disciples, and share the message of salvation through Jesus Christ.

We believe that the best chapters of our story are still ahead. As God continues to lead us, we remain committed to being a church where people from every generation can encounter Christ, grow in their faith, and become a blessing to the world around them.
